There are lots of ways to support RUSH 2The DEN, whether you can give a little time each week, share your skills, or donate useful items. Every bit of help makes a real difference to the children, young people and families we support.

Volunteer Your Time

Do you have a little spare time? Volunteering with children and young people can be incredibly rewarding.

Youth Club or Tots & Adults Volunteer

We are currently looking for volunteers to support our sessions, including a new group starting soon that will be held after school hours, between Tots and Youth Club.

We would love to hear from people who:

  • Enjoy spending time with children and young people
  • Are reliable, enthusiastic and committed
  • Want to make a positive difference in the local community

Training is available, and you will be supported by a friendly, welcoming team.

Volunteering with RUSH 2The DEN is great fun, and you can choose the age group you would most like to work with.

Our youth clubs and tots sessions run during term time and throughout the school holidays too.

Management Committee Member

Another way to support RUSH 2The DEN is by joining our Executive, also known as our Management Committee.

The Management Committee meets approximately once every quarter and plays an important role in helping us make decisions, supporting our staff and volunteers, and ensuring our services continue to meet the needs of local children, young people and families.

We welcome people who can offer any of the following:

  • A little time to spare
  • Knowledge of the local community
  • An understanding of young people and a commitment to youth services
  • The confidence to share ideas, ask questions and help shape our services
  • Experience in employment or human resources
  • Financial management skills
  • Fundraising experience

We are currently looking for new Management Committee members, including:

  • Parent representative for ages 5–7
  • Parent representative for ages 8–10
  • Parent representative for ages 11–14

RUSH 2The DEN is a volunteer-led charity supporting young people and families in Rushden and the surrounding area.

We rely on the kindness and generosity of our community to help us create a safe, welcoming and engaging space for local children and young people.

If you are redecorating or having a clear-out, please think of RUSH 2The DEN before throwing items away. We are always grateful for donations of materials and equipment that can be used in our sessions.

We rely on the kindness and generosity of our community to help us continue providing a safe, welcoming and enjoyable space for everyone who walks through our doors.

Supporting Our Activities

Thanks to generous funding from organisations such as Grants for All and The National Lottery Community Fund, we’ve been able to purchase camping equipment, as well as a minibus and trailer for our Youth Club.

This equipment allows us to offer regular camping experiences, giving young people the chance to build confidence, develop new skills, and create lasting memories.

We run camping trips from May through to September each year. Please speak to the Youth Club team for more details.
